IPN / OS 62 Refurbishment 3rd and 4th floor - Technical equipment

Technical equipment according to § 55 HOAI ALG 1 to 5, 7 and 8, LPH 1 to 9

The campus of Kiel University is divided into three sectors. Sector B on Olshausenstraße is home to the Institute for Science Education (IPN), among others.

The 3rd and 4th floors of the institute are to be renovated as part of the development planning of the Christian-Albrechts-University. Laboratories are also to be created for the training of the didactics of common scientific school experiments.

From 2009 to 2012, the offices on the 1st floor and 2nd floor of the institute were completely renovated. Furthermore, a renovation of the toilet rooms on the ground floor took place in the period from 2011-2012. In the same, the locking system was expanded and in 2012 an extension of the sun protection system with radio control took place.

In the course of the renovation, the floor plans and room structures will be adapted. As a result, new cabling including switch systems, additional connections and new positions for the server cabinets are required during electrical planning. Overall, the entire supply lines have to be renewed. The existing fire alarm system must be adapted or expanded in the course of the renovation on the basis of the newly created fire protection concept. On the 4th floor, laboratory planning for S1 laboratories is required, which means that the exhaust air must be discharged upwards. A total of 3 large-capacity laboratories for 15 workstations each are to be planned.

Pollutants such as asbestos and KMF are suspected in the existing building, which will be removed as part of the remediation.

The contract to be awarded here includes the planning of the technical equipment for the provision of stages 1 to 5 of the conversion, including laboratory construction. The services are commissioned in stages and the client reserves the right to commission further stages after level 1 has been provided.

Stage 1 performance phase 1-4

Stage 2 Performance phase 5

Stage 3 Performance phase 6-7

Stage 4 Work phase 8

Stage 5 Performance phase 9

Difficulties can be the tight schedule with the times to be observed (call for subsidies) and the ongoing operation on floors 1 and 2. The continuous and detailed coordination with the project participants, especially the user, required for the provision of services, is a prerequisite for adhering to the tight time constraints.

Furthermore, special services must be provided in addition to the specific performance obligations. These include, among other things, participation in demand planning for complex uses in service phase 1. Also in the above-mentioned service phase, the inventory, graphic representation and recalculation of existing plants and plant components is divided. Furthermore, data collection, analyses and optimisation processes in existing buildings as well as the performance of consumption measurements in performance phase 1 are among the special services. In service phase 2, the creation of the technical part of the room book and in service phase 3, the updating of this part is anchored in the special services.

Planned period of project implementation:

Submission FU-Bau 02.04.2024

Start of construction: 13.02.2025

End of construction: 27.08.2026

Handover to users: 11.01.2027

The client reserves the right to assign only part of the basic services from the aforementioned service profile.

The following procedure is carried out: In phase 1, potential applicants are invited to participate and submit the application for participation with the required evidence. In phase 2, the requests to participate received will be examined and the number of admitted candidates will be limited. Phase 2 candidates will be invited separately to a negotiated procedure.
