The corona crisis has led to far-reaching changes in the state government's barrier-free communication. There has been a sharp increase in the number of offers in sign language, as well as translations into particularly easy-to-understand language. This very positive development should not be limited to the crisis period, but should be continued beyond that.
This development is being driven forward by the state government's working group on barrier-free communication. In particular, it has set itself the goal of supporting departments in expanding and optimising their offerings in sign language and particularly easy to understand language and to create synergy effects.
In order to achieve this goal, framework agreements, among other things, are to be concluded, in which all departments, including their subordinate departments, are involved. A framework contract is initially planned, with which the creation of videos in German sign language (pure sign language videos) and the subsequent translation of existing videos into sign language (with the interpreter being inserted) can be awarded.
