The College is in the process of implementing a masterplan to redevelop its existing Dacorum campus at Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead. This procurement concerns the first of three phases of the masterplan. Phase 1 currently includes new general teaching, learning resource centre and student support services in a single building arranged over three floors. The approximate total gross internal area is 45 400 ft2. Teaching spaces include general classrooms, a science laboratory, staff rooms and 1:1 rooms. Auxiliary functions include a refectory including a kitchen, administration areas and offices. External works include the provision of limited car parking and soft and hard landscaping to the internal courtyard. The project has secured funding and will commence on site in Autumn 2015. The project will be procured under a JCT Design and Build contract with novation of the key consultants.
