Procurement of digital passenger information systems for the ferry of HADAG Seetouristik und Fährendienst AG.

The purpose of this project is the introduction of a digital passenger information system in the ferries of HADAG Seetouristik und Fährdienst AG. The ferries provide waterside public transport in the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (hvv) in the entire port area. The project is part of the funding programme "Model projects to strengthen local public transport" of the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport and will be funded until the end of 2024.

In the funding period up to mid-2024, the installation and commissioning of the entire fleet of 26 ferries is to be completed. Regardless of the funding, the further equipment of subsequent new ships is planned.

In the ferries, the old passenger TV, which has so far only been equipped with the display of image files (advertising) and the reference to the next stop, is to be replaced by a modern monitor system This monitor system is characterized above all by a higher functionality, since in addition to the content displayed today, information such as the other stops in a line, Transfer relationships to other transport services, real-time data for connection relationships, fault reports as well as information on long-term disruptions or editorial content are presented.

Parallel to the equipping of the ferry with monitors and computer units, all necessary interfaces and systems for the provision and integration of data on the transport offer as well as current developments, such as operational disruptions, will also be implemented in the data management.
