The object of the order is the delivery of 200 display/blackboard systems including delivery, assembly and dismantling of the previous display/blackboard systems plus maintenance and support for the Lehrte schools, including the achievement of operational readiness by the contractor.
The city of Lehrte is currently responsible for 9 primary schools at 11 locations and 5 secondary schools at 7 locations. These are managed by a system administrator and an IT coordinator.
As part of the implementation of the digital pact, the schools were equipped with a WLAN network and mobile devices. In addition, defective display/board systems were replaced during the year.
With numerous projects, the city of Lehrte pursues the goal of promoting the digitization of processes in schools. There is a constant exchange with the Lehrte schools.
Currently, there is no uniform display/blackboard system and schools work with chalkboards, analog whiteboards, activity boards, smartboards and a combination of screens and analog boards. The Lehrte schools named in the project plan have agreed on the uniform contractual system for the future.
The project will start immediately after the award of the contract. The display/blackboard systems are to be installed at the respective school locations immediately upon delivery, the old systems dismantled and moved to a plant location within the school grounds. A maintenance and support agreement is to be concluded, which can optionally be further extended.
The client uses iOS-based products (Apple iPads) in the Lehrter schools. For the procurement of mobile devices, the Lehrte schools have agreed on Apple iPads, which were then procured as part of a tender. As part of the lessons, the "Airplay" protocol is used for data transmission and wireless screen transmission. For a central administration, a system was purchased, which specializes in iOS-based devices. The Lehrte schools also use iServ's mobile device management (MDM), which is currently only compatible with iOS devices. At IGS Lehrte and the Gymnasium, parent-financed devices are also used. These are also iOS-based devices. Accordingly, the systems offered must be compatible with the existing devices.
At the request of the schools, the systems should be usable analogously and digitally, so that the pupils are accustomed to a uniform display/blackboard system and the different needs of the Lehrter schools are met.
