Trondheim Urban Operations would like to replace all of its fossil fuel machinery with fossil free solutions. One part of this programme is to replace the fleet of older sludge extractors with new gas-powered machines. The sludge extractors cover several of Trondheim municipality's needs, including the emptying and operation of drains and sand traps in the municipal surface water network.

This procurement applies to both 3-axle sludge extractors and 4-axle machines (combi-lorry). A total of 7-10 gas-fuelled sludge extractors are planned to be procured in accordance with a procurement plan under the framework agreement. The procurement plan is described in Annex 1, Chapter 1.1. The procurement also includes service of the body and chassis. 

Due to the holiday period, questions for the contest will not be answered until week 33, and the deadline for asking questions for the contest is set to 11 August 23. 

Trondheim municipality, c/o the Road Department and Water and Sewage Department at Trondheim Urban Operations (Norwegian: TB), are planning to replace their fleet of sludge extractors with new biogas-powered sludge extractors and combi-lorries. The framework agreement covers the estimated procurement of 7-10 vehicles during the contract period.

Trondheim Urban Operations has the following work assignments within the fields of:

- Sanitation and sewage network

- Emptying of sand traps from overflow stations in the water and sewage network

- Emptying of street sand traps and flushing of secondary drains/auxiliary drains

- Cleaning of sewage manholes and water manholes

- Emptying of private sewage systems (sludge separators and closed tanks)

TB currently has the following machinery, which is planned to be replaced under the framework agreement.

- 2 combi-vehicles (tridem)

- 2 septic vehicles (tridem)

- 1 street sand trap vehicle (tridem)

- 2 allround sludge extractors (3-axle)
