The city of Schwerte is planning to develop the Albert Schweitzer School as a 4-class elementary school with an open all-day school. The city of Schwerte has already developed a concept for this. In addition, the planning office for buildings, interiors and outdoor facilities set up various variants for the implementation of the city of Schwerte's project.
The aim is to maintain a school that represents a sustainable concept both in terms of space and energetic values.
On the basis of the variant investigation, a preferred variant emerged, the implementation of which is now being examined and followed up.
Subject to further coordination / investigations, it is planned to realize the goals of the city of Schwerte through a compact new building in the area of the sports facility of the adjacent Friedrich-Bährens-Gymnasium. The new building is to bundle all the class wings, the administration and the OGS of the Albert-Schweizer-Schule in one building.
The currently assumed costs amount to approx. EUR 10 million (gross) for cost groups 300 and 400 (without termination).
It is currently being examined whether and which funding can be applied for for implementation.
