Allerdale Borough Council commissioned a Business Growth Plan in 2016. A lot has happened since then at a national level that has had local implications — Brexit, changes in the retail sector, new regeneration funding programmes — to name but a few. In addition to this, the Local Government election in 2019 resulted in a change of administration at Allerdale.

The time is right to update and expand our current approach to growth and economic development to reflect our new Council Strategy.
