This contract is a contract for the contracting of services within the meaning of Art. 2, 21° of the 2016 Act.

This assignment is a framework agreement.

The object of the assignment is to provide a safety coordinator design and / or safety coordinator implementation and to provide assistance to the contracting party in this regard.

The assignment consists of making one or more safety coordinators-design and safety coordinators-realization available for various projects related to modernization, management and maintenance of the regional and motorway network and appurtenances in the province of Flemish Brabant.

The projects can be carried out on behalf of the Flemish Region, Agency

Roads and Traffic, Roads and Traffic Flemish Brabant, and in the case of merged contracts for which the Flemish Region is a contracting authority, also partly on behalf of any co-financiers / customers such as the municipality(s) concerned, De Lijn, NMBS, NV Aquafin or, if applicable, other third parties.

This assignment also includes the safety coordination of the (preparatory) works on utility lines initiated by the AWV project, as well as any simultaneous works commissioned by the Traffic, Road Systems and Telematics Department (VWT) and / or the Electrical Road Installations (EW ).

This concerns work initiated by the implementation of the AWV project, such as:

- moving, modifying, expanding, repairing, removing and replacing utility lines and appurtenances

- moving, adapting, expanding, removing and replacing red light cameras or telematics and appurtenances

- moving, adapting, expanding, removing and replacing public lighting and traffic lights and appurtenances

- installation of detection loops in the new pavement and appurtenances
