Stay

The seven municipalities of the North Limburg region: Beesel, Bergen, Gennep, Horst aan de Maas, Peel en Maas, Venlo and Venray have agreed to work together for Social Support Act, Youth and Participation. In the context of this tender, the seven municipalities are the contracting authority and the client; hereinafter referred to as: client or municipality (s).

The partnership that gives substance to this agreement and provides and facilitates this tender for the client is the Modular Joint Arrangement Social Domain North Limburg (MGR).

Provide respite care to the family and (supplementing outpatient care) work towards a situation in which the family can continue without professional help. Staying as respite care prevents overburdening for parents, young people and / or the whole family.

In addition, during the stay you can also work on other goals from the family plan.

The detailed explanation of the content is included in the Guidelines.

Staying is respite care and the indication is issued for a temporary, defined period. In exceptional situations, a long-term indication for accommodation can be issued in consultation with the municipal access. Respite care concerns the possibility for the juvenile to stay somewhere else for a short period (e.g. a weekend), where professional supervision is offered and where the necessary care and support is offered, so that (foster) parents, carers and / or the juvenile be temporarily relieved and have some time for themselves, with the aim of then being able to bear the parenting responsibility or role within the family again.

Staying is the patch, not the solution. That is why, at the start of the stay, other ambulatory help is always used on the basis of a separate indication, working towards a situation in which the family is able to continue on their own, with the help of the network.

The provider / professional of lodging therefore always coordinates with the provider / professional of the other ambulatory care, in order to create an integrated care offer in this way. A plan is jointly drawn up that provides insight into what is needed for parents / carers to be able to fully bear the parenting responsibility themselves again.
