Provision of a Community Pain Management Service (CPMS) to the Bassetlaw Area.

The key outcomes of the service will be:

— to ensure quantifiable improvements in the patient's perception of their pain,

— enable patients to self-manage their condition and to evidence this,

— to reduce the number of new pain management referrals to secondary care,

— to ensure adherence to the local Procedures of Ltd Clinical Value (PLCV) policy,

— to define a structured approach to the use of therapies in line with latest guidance and the Commissioners Procedures of Ltd clinical value policy. provide an approach to ongoing treatment which is based on measureable, progressive patient outcomes.
