Therefore, the new data center infrastructure should be much easier to use and bring a high degree of automation. After a detailed evaluation of the solutions available on the market, it was therefore concluded that an HCI solution (hyperconverged infrastructure) will make everyday work much easier.

The city of Bensheim would therefore like to procure an HCI data center and backup solution and have it implemented at two locations.

HCI Data Center Solution

The solution is to be mirrored synchronously across two data centers. VMware VSphere Enterprise Plus licenses are available in sufficient quantities and must continue to be used on the new solution to avoid additional costs.

Backup Solution

The solution must be appliance-based, i.e. a combined system that combines all the necessary hardware and software components.
