The contract concerns the underwriting of civil liability insurance arising from Belgocontrol's activities.
The market consists of 2 lots:
- lot 1:
Liability insurance arising from aviation activities and missions as a provider of air traffic control and air navigation services in Belgium; insured limit of (minimum) EUR 1,250,000,000 per claim;
Third Party War and Terrorist Liability Insurance (extended under AVN52) with an insured limit of (minimum) $ 250,000,000 per claim and per year included.
- lot 2:
Civil liability insurance for acts of war and terrorism (extension of the guarantee under clause AVN52); insured limit of (minimum) $ 1,000,000,000 per claim and year in excess of $ 250,000,000 (principal policy).

Requests for participation from and by insurance brokers will not be accepted.
Requests for participation may be submitted as an initiator and / or co-insurer. It is considered that each leading candidate also applies as a co-insurer, unless otherwise specified by the candidate.
Candidates who wish to participate as an advisor are required to take a quota of at least 10% per lot for which they are bidding.
