At the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, a walk-in climate test chamber is to be acquired at the Wolfsburg site. The aim is to air-condition entire vehicle assemblies or components according to standard test methods / regulations and to measure them during operation by means of optical measurement technology. The system has to be completely assembled and tested by the manufacturer in order to be delivered, set up and put into operation in a compact form in the laboratory area of the SE-center of Ostfalia.

The system has to be completely assembled and tested by the manufacturer in order to be delivered, set up and put into operation in a compact form in the laboratory area of the SE-center of Ostfalia.
To ensure the test material measurement by means of optical measurement technology, a sufficiently large side window should be provided, the properties of which permit the optical measurement and do not adversely affect it. The control and monitoring of the climate chamber is to be ensured both by a control panel on the test cell itself, as well as the possibility of integration into the university's own network (LAN). In addition, it should be possible to record loads in the climate test room by means of heavy load floor.
Furthermore, the climate chamber should have external signal outputs / inputs to be able to trigger, for example, external measurement technology via a digital signal when a temperature change takes place.
Access to the test chamber is to be ensured by 2 asymmetric doors on the front of the chamber to allow the operator access without too much impact on the air conditioning.
Planned commencement of use by Ostfalia after commissioning, construction and handover in 2019. In addition, the climate test cell must be demountable and transportable for a future laboratory relocation, to be rebuilt and taken into operation in another building of the Ostfalia University.
