for the renovation of the old ward house of the Vitos Orthopaedic Clinic in Kassel

Ventilation systems and building automation 2.BA

A ventilation system is planned for the renovated building.

The ventilation units are installed in the headquarters on the 5th floor.

All internal functional, ancillary and technical rooms are ventilated and vented with the necessary outdoor air rate according to DIN 1946-4, DIN EN 16798-3 and in accordance with DIN EN 15251.

Ward corridors and rooms in which a larger number of patients or staff are present, e.B. waiting rooms, group or conference rooms, are also mechanically ventilated in accordance with DIN 1946-4 and in accordance with DIN EN 15251.

Furthermore, all internal sanitary rooms and patient bathrooms are ventilated and ventilated.

The patient bathrooms receive exhaust air, the supply air is blown into the bed rooms and flows into the bathrooms via door undercuts.

Luftverteilung

The ventilation centre is located on the 5th floor as a roof centre. The aforementioned ventilation units are installed here. The outside air intake takes place via a suction hood on the roof of the control center. The outgoing air is guided via an exhaust hood on the roof of the control center.

The air distribution of the systems takes place via swirl outlets, ventilation grilles and disc valves for supply air and exhaust air.

All rooms receive volume flow controllers, variable or constant as required, with downstream silencers.

The patient baths from the 2nd - 4th floor receive a vertical exhaust air flow directly to the control center on the 5th floor.

For the 2nd floor there is a provision, the installation ends with the fire dampers in the ceiling above the 2nd floor.

The supply air for the bathrooms on the 2nd - 4th floor is carried out horizontally via the corridors.

The main canals are led from the headquarters via roof to the F90 shaft (formerly Loggia) and distributed horizontally on each floor.

The 4th floor is approached directly from above on the 5th floor.

Air ducts that are routed through walls and ceilings with fire protection requirements are provided with fire dampers. The same applies to the entrance or exit to the F90 ventilation shaft.

Necessary permits, tests and acceptances

- Expert acceptance/acceptance test according to DIN 12599/acceptance according to DIN1946-4

Building automation:

Two new information centres will be built for the control of a new air conditioning system, fire protection flap bus system and heating distribution. The ISPs contain the automation stations with make-neutral data communication protocol BACnet according to DIN EN ISO 16484-5 for the control and regulation of field devices, acquisition and processing of analog and digital input and output evaluations as well as recording of external fault messages.

General information ISP1

ISP1 is located in the ventilation center on the 5th floor and includes the control and regulation of the following systems:

- HVAC - Bed room

- Control of variable volume flow controllers group rooms etc.

- Fire damper bus system

- Pufferspeicherladung Frischwasserstation

- Recording of external messages, e.B. the fresh water station
