The Korbach Hospital is a modern health centre with 249 beds in which more than 10,900 inpatients and 17,000 outpatients are treated annually in the medical and rehabilitative sector. It comprises the following specialist departments: Medical Clinic, Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Anesthesia and Operative Intensive Care Medicine as well as the Staff Departments for Otorhinolaryngology and Urology.
The hospital has a medical care center (practice for gynecology and obstetrics, practice for internal medicine with a focus on cardiology and hematology / oncology, practice for surgery) as well as specialist practices for radiology and nuclear medicine, internal medicine, urology, surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthopedics.
Under the project name "Stadtkrankenhaus 4.0 - gemeinsam digital bewegen" (City Hospital 4.0 - moving digitally together), the Korbach City Hospital unites the various projects within the framework of the KHZG. The clinic has funding available through the KHZG for the investment in digitization. These funds will be used, among other things, in the following project "Entry into the "paperless hospital" with the introduction of a fully digital patient record and medication management".

The client coordinates the procurement of this system for the Korbach City Hospital. Due to the content of the contract, only high-performance bidders are called upon to participate in the procedure. Minimum requirements apply to tenderers to ensure that the service is met in accordance with the legal requirements and that the tenderer can meet the requirements.
The objective of this procurement project is the implementation of a digital care and treatment documentation including digital medication management system including integrated drug therapy safety function (AMTS) for the hospital information system Orbis (HIS). This contains information on all patient- and drug-related treatment information about the entire treatment process in the hospital and is available to all those involved in the treatment (according to § 19 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 3 KHSFV and § 19 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 5 KHSFV). Procurement is funded by the Hospital Future Act.
The delivery of the software including the legally required training concepts (medical device), as well as the accompaniment of the introduction is commissioned.
Maintenance services: Maintenance services are provided with a runtime of up to min. Commissioned at the end of 2024 (in the sense of the KHZG funding period). Maintenance services are optional for the subsequent period of use.
