As part of the fire protection and energy upgrading as well as the conversion and renovation of all floors of the main building of the Maximilian Kolbe School in Neunkirchen-Wiebelskirchen, which is sponsored by the Bishopric of Trier, work on the PV system is also necessary in connection with the roof renovation.
The first step is to remove the 4 existing PV systems from the roof. Two PV systems will be disposed of properly due to the expired funding. The other two PV systems (funding end of 2024 and 2028) are to be temporarily stored on the schoolyard (sectioned area) during roof renovation.
After roof renovation, the client reserves the right to reinstall the stored PV systems on the roof surface.
Disassembly, partial disposal of PV systems - Renovation of Maximilian Kolbe SchoolThe Maximilian Kolbe School was built in the years around 1975 as a reinforced concrete/skeleton construction (TT beam ceilings on the ground floor and upper floors) or reinforced concrete/masonry construction (basement) with non-load-bearing system partitions (so-called “mechel walls”) as interior walls and a curtain-mounted mullion-beam facade. The building has 5 floors (basement 3rd floor) and a technical floor. Due to age, there are deficits in the building in terms of building services, fire protection, energy balance, etc., which are to be remedied in the course of the renovation.
