Spencer Academies Trust requires a comprehensive managed ICT service for the Trust and its 17 schools. To include the supply, operation and management of WAN, LAN and wLan, cloud hosting, directory, storage, software and users. Support services including a centralised help desk and project services. Management services including:

— strategy,

— planning,

— security management, and

— business continuity.

The contract is likely to include TUPE transfer of staff. The contract will be for a period of up to 10 years, subject to performance.

The Spencer Academies Trust comprising 17 primary and secondary schools with approximately 2 000 staff and 20 000 students, in the midlands seeks a suitably qualified and experienced company to provide a managed ICT service to replace an existing service.

The new provider will:

— design, build and manage a new WAN infrastructure,

— provide a managed hosting facility,

— provide extensive user, directory, and software management,

— migrate the trust to this platform,

— migrate each of the schools to this platform,

— support the Trust in decommissioning and decoupling from the incumbent systems,

— operate, administer, manage and monitor all of the Trusts systems and infrastructure,

— operate, administer, manage and monitor all schools’ infrastructure and systems,

— provide comprehensive support, help and change services,

— provide a broad range of ITIL based services including security management, disaster recovery, business continuity, strategic planning, procurement,

— provide a range of project and development services.
