The main objective of this (recurrent) project is to support the Commission and Member States in the further implementation of harmonized and cost-effective EU ETS monitoring, reporting verification and accreditation (MRVA), during 2024-2025.

Specific objectives are to:

• provide Secretariat support to the EU ETS Compliance Forum in 2024 and 2025, maintaining an effective platform for discussion and cooperation between Member States and the Commission, including in the Task Force setting, and the well-functioning of the EU ETS MRVA system;

• provide support to the Commission concerning the maintenance of MRVA guidance, templates and other tools published by the Commission in support of the MRR and AVR;

• provide additional support in relation to ad hoc technical enquiries on EU ETS MRVA issues.

Work under this contract shall take into account the revised EU ETS Directive and the revision of the legal acts, in particular MRR and AVR.
