The Borough Council of Bolton (“the Authority”) is prepared to receive tenders for Minor Housing Adaptations to Promote Independent Living, which will be subject to the information, specification and tender package enclosed.

The Independent Living Service provide and install equipment which includes but is not limited to:

• Grab rails

• Drop down shower seats

• Toilet frames

• Lever taps; and

• Ramped access modifications.

For larger works the expertise of an external contractor is required, such as widening doorways, lowering electrical sockets, installing shower seats, and ramps. It is the larger works element of the service for which a tender is required and with which this report is concerned.
