Operational assistance in Telemark (DAiT) is a cooperation between the municipality in gamle Telemark fylke [old Telemark county] (before the merger with Vestfold county 1 January 2020). DAiT offers i.a. operating instructions, competence dissemination, accredited sampling at sewage treatment plants, preparation and maintenance of internal control as well as assistance in procurement of individual services for the municipalities related to water and sewage treatment plants. A competition for analysis services is being organised on behalf of 9 DAiT member municipalities.

The analysis services includes analysis of samples from the intake and discharge from the sewage system, from minor installations belonging to chapter 13 of the Pollution Regulations as well as larger sewage plants with requirements for accredited sampling belonging to Chapter 14 of the Pollution Regulations. Analysis of various samples from water treatment plants both from raw water, water in process and clean water from different locations on the network. Analysis of both food substances and heavy metals in sludge from sewage treatment plants.
