Installation of district heating, local heating and drinking water pipes as well pipeline in the new residential area at Illerpark in 89233 Neu-Ulm

As part of the construction of the new residential area at Illerpark by the city of Neu-Ulm, the city of Neu-Ulm wants to meet the great demand for living space and build an urban district with forward-looking structures. In this context, SWU Energie is planning to set up a central district heating supply for the newly constructed buildings with a total of 610 residential units. The district heating is to be generated by setting up a central heat transformation station for extracting energy from the groundwater and providing district heating in two different circuits for heating as well as for hot water supply and the return of the cooled water into the Iller channel.

The electrical energy for processing the heat is to be provided by SWU's own hydro power plant in Ludwigsfeld. SWU Energie GmbH is thus making an important contribution to climate-neutral heat supply in this model quarter. Specifically, the following measures are planned to implement the project:

- construction of a low-temperature heating network to provide the heating demand,

- use of the low-temperature heating network for free cooling in summer,

- Construction of a hot water network to cover hot water demand

- Construction of a heat center to generate the low-temperature and high-temperature circuits for hot water.

- construction of a tapping well and groundwater supply lines to the heat center as well as the construction of the service water pipe and the junction structure for introducing process water into the Iller,

- Construction of supply lines to power the new heat centre by the regional hydroelectric power plant.

Only the following parts of these measures are included in this tender: district heating pipes, local heating pipes, well pipes, drinking water pipes.

The measures are carried out in coordination with the city of Neu-Ulm or in coordination with the city of Neu-Ulm's construction projects for the construction of the new development area. Stadtwerke Ulm/Neu-Ulm Netze GmbH (SWU-N) will also build plants at the location of the newly built thermal power plant to supply the area (transformer station) and to supply glass fibers (FTTH expansion). The building is therefore being constructed jointly by SWU Energie GmbH and SWU-N.
