Description:: The supply of residential care home services (Step Down Beds) on the basis of Standard Care and/or High Dependency Care (including patients with Dementia) to meet the patient requirements on discharge from hospital. Services are provided on a temporary basis whilst permanent arrangements for longer term care can be made. The contract is a framework contract and the award is to 8 companies (relating to 10 care homes for standard care service and 9 care homes offering high dependancy care services). Period of the contract is for 1 year, with option to extend for a further 12 months.
