Four vehicle categories are procured. They each form a separate lot. Offers can be submitted for one or more lots, but at least for a whole lot.

PostBus expressly reserves the right to divide lots. The prerequisite for any distribution of a lot to two providers or for two surcharges is that the total score of the runner-up is no more than 10% lower than that of the first place winner. If there are two surcharges in one lot, the aim is to ensure that the first placed person receives at least 60% of the vehicle volume concerned.

The expected demand for the 2023/2024 procurement period (orders until 31 August 2024; see point 6) is listed below. However, these figures are purely indicative values based on the current state of planning, which are non-binding for PostBus in this sense and can be adjusted at any time.
