Object planning Buildings and interiors of the new buildings Gymnasium and school building for the LVR-Gronewaldschule Köln

The LVR intends to expand the existing LVR School (sec. 1) with the funding priority "Listening + Communication" with currently approx. 120 students after demolition of various buildings / parts to expand an OGS bar. In addition, a partially buried single-field gym in the area of the school yard to be rebuilt. The roof of the gymnasium is planned as a walk-in schoolyard area.

The existing gymnasium is to be converted into a cafeteria including a warm-up kitchen and ancillary rooms as well as the disused educational swimming pool in two workrooms. The existing auditorium will receive a new ventilation system as part of the construction project and should be upgraded to room acoustics.

The measures should be carried out while the school is in operation.

Start of planning August 2019, start of construction spring 2021. The construction period is 16 months until completion in summer 2022.
