The Danish Road Traffic Authority and the Danish National Police are responsible for issuing driving licences, with the Danish Road Traffic Authority responsible for the Danish driving licences and the National Police being responsible for the Greenlandic driving licences.

The tendered contract covers production, personalisation and distribution of both Danish and Greenlandic driving licences. The supplier must also be able to produce specialist cards of both driving licences.

The contract includes an establishment phase where the design of the driving licenses is determined, the required IT integrations are made, relevant tests/tests are carried out, etc., as described in the tender documents.

After the establishment phase, the contracting entity expects to purchase approx. 300,000 Danish driving licenses annually based on the consumption for the period October 2021-September 2022 and approx. 1,700 Greenlandic driving licenses based on the consumption for the period January 2020-December 2022. The contracting entity expects the annual average to fluctuate by +/- 25 percent. The supplier must supply all driving licenses ordered during the contract period after the establishment phase.

The tender shall be conducted as an open tender.
