Description:
2022-295-3 Landstromprojekt - Kabelziehsystem

The AG is planning the construction of four medium-voltage shore power systems for seagoing vessels in accordance with the IEC/IEEE 80005-1 standard in the Bremen overseas port area of the city of Bremerhaven for the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen in the Port Special Fund. On the basis of the functional service description, the AN plans, supplies and builds cable pulling systems at its own locations and then also collects the cables provided "by lot 1". Here: Lot 3a Two cable pulling systems of approx. 350m or 450m length on the container terminal, lot 3b – a cable pulling system of approx. 800m length from Geo-Plate Str. to Columbuskaje, lot 3c – a cable pulling system of approx. 150m length (incl. partially. Use of existing cable pulling systems) in the Nordhafen.

Kabelziehsystem - Stromkaje

On the basis of the functional service description, the Contractor plans, supplies and builds one or more cable pulling systems for medium-voltage cables. As a particular complication in the construction of the cable pulling systems on the port operating grounds, it should be noted that terminal operations, i.e. port handling operations in 24/7 mode, take place 365 days a year and disruptions caused by conversion measures must be avoided or at least minimized. You are only allowed on the terminal premises after special training and approval by the terminal operators and on the container terminal you may only move with vehicles. Long distances and waiting times are to be expected and planned. Higher expenses than usual are to be expected when securing the construction sites. This also applies to construction site operations, storage areas for building materials will probably not be available close to the construction site.

Lot 3a: Two pieces of cable pulling systems on the container terminal at the electricity quay.

A cable drawing system of approx. 450m length is created in the MSC terminal area.

A cable pulling system of approx. 350m length is created in the NTB terminal area.

In addition to the new converter building, a cable shaft for medium-voltage cables will be built. From here, an approximately 100 m long cable route is built in an open civil engineering process to the shaft chamber, where it ends in a second, newly created cable shaft. The new cable route passes under several existing cable routes, crosses any existing surface water drainage pipes and also crosses under the crane track beam of the container gantry crane cranes. In the MSC area, an old, no longer used crane track beam must also be partially demolished or penetrated with the new cable route. The cable route is then routed through the approximately 1 m thick reinforced concrete ceiling of the shaft chamber. A structural design consideration of this implementation is necessary. The cable route is then routed on the rear wall of the shaft collector to the level of the feed-in point of the ship connection system and then via the shaft chamber ceiling to the feed-in point. The cable tray is fastened in the shaft chamber by seawater-resistant steel construction of the corresponding protection class. The cable conduits must be protected by covers from the forces of wave impact, ice and flotsam. Structural design calculations are also necessary for steel construction and covers.

The MSC cable drawing system is designed with (8) pipes including conduits.

The NTB cable drawing system is designed with (12) pipes including conduits.

In addition, the cables provided by Lot 1 shall be retracted into the conduits.

Kabelziehsystem - Columbuskaje

Lot 3b: A piece of cable pulling system of about 800 m in length must be created on Columbus Island. In addition to the new converter building on Geo-Plate Straße, a cable shaft for medium-voltage cables is being built. From here, an approximately 700 m long cable route is built in an open civil engineering process to the north end of the cruise terminal, where it ends in a switching station. In the course of this route, several changes of direction with cable shafts are required, and sheet piling must also be crossed over or underneath. At a later stage in the course of the project, another cable route will be built from the switching station to the cable duct at the Columbus quay. The cable drawing system is designed in a shorter sub-area with (18) pipes including conduits, in the remaining area with (6) pipes.

In addition, the cables provided by Lot 1 shall be retracted into the conduits.

Kabelziehsystem - Automobil Terminal

Lot 3c: A piece of cable pulling system of approx. 150m length (incl. partially. Use of existing cable pulling systems) must be created in the Nordhafen.

From the new converter building on the BLG site in the area of the North Harbour, short cable routes (length less than 10 m) to the NH-O switch house and existing cable shafts must be built. In addition, a maximum of 50 m long cable route must be built from an existing cable shaft near the North Harbour quay to the quay. The routes are designed in some areas with (15) pipes including conduits, in the rest of the area with (3) pipes. In addition, the cables provided by Lot 1 must be fed into the conduits and through several existing cable shafts and, if necessary, cables that have not been used before must also be removed from the existing pipes.
