This action aims to revive the fortified enclosure of the Villa de Monterrei and its instrumentalization as a dynamic focus of its surroundings and even its region.

The enhancement of the enclosure comprises the built elements and the unit that constitute with the hill they crown and with which they form an indissoluble unit, so the recovery of the enclosure is addressed according to the importance of the historical and landscape value of the whole complex.

The purpose of the contract is the execution of the Rehabilitation Project of the fortified enclosure of Monterrei.

In view of the state in which the buildings and roads of the fortress of Monterrei are located, it is estimated appropriate to undertake actions on this site and in relation to the following elements in order to, in this way, be able to give meaning to the complex and a homogeneous character to the actions to be carried out, which are the following:

• BUILDING DA CASA CUARTEL

- INTERVENTION IN THE AREA OF MARKET SQUARE, FORMER TOWN HALL AND ADJACENT BUILDINGS

• REHABILITATION OF BUILDINGS IN PORTA NORTE.

• THE ENTRANCE TO THE ENCLOSURE

• PASEO DE RONDA

• CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW VISITOR RECEPTION BUILDING
