Awarding a contract to an independent scientific institution for the monitoring and evaluation of the testing of the “Bronchoscopic lung volume reduction in severe pulmonary emphysema by means of thermoablation”.

The purpose of the tests is to answer the question of whether bronchoscopic lung volume reduction by thermoablation in addition to conservative standard therapy has a patient-relevant benefit compared to exclusively conservative standard therapy. It is a question of superiority.
