Bournemouth Borough Council and the Borough of Poole have appointed the services of security companies for each of the below lots.

Both Councils’ require security guards for manned positions at different locations across the Conurbation.

The contract will cover 3 lots:

— Lot 1 – Manned Guarding for Nuffield Household Waste Recycling Centre and Millhams Community Recycling Centre,

— Lot 2 – Unauthorised Encampments for Bournemouth Borough Council,

— Lot 3 – Manned Guarding for Poole Civic Centre.

The Council has awarded a contract to provide a security guard for a manned position at Poole’s waste facility, Nuffield Household Waste Recycling Centre, 92-98 Nuffield Road, Poole, BH17 0RS and a security guard for a manned position at Bournemouth’s waste facility, Millhams Community Recycling Centre, Millhams Road, Bournemouth, BH11 9LQ, 52 weeks of the year. This excludes Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Day as the sites will be closed.

The Council has awarded a contract for the services of manned Security for the Housing and Communities Service Unit to assist with the prevention of and management of unauthorised encampments on Council land (with the option of extending to the wider conurbation during the term of the contract) and for the protection of assets and door security for licensed premises/events on an ad hoc basis throughout the Borough of Bournemouth.

The Council have awarded the contract to supply 1 trained static uniformed guard to be in attendance at the Civic Centre continually between 8:00 and 18:00 hours, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays. Continuity is an important aspect of this duty and we would normally expect one guard to be used to fulfill this role, but with at least one other guard within the suppliers staff to be site trained and fully conversant with the duties and requirements.
