A planning application for underground valuable minerals mining and exploration, surface level development, processing plant and associated development works was submitted to DFI by Dalradian Gold Ltd. DFI requires a multi-disciplinary consultancy team to review the content of the submitted waste management plan (WMP) and provide wide ranging professional advice on the nature, level and adequacy in all respects of the WMP arising from a consideration of the Planning (Management of Waste from Extractive Industries) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 (the ‘WMR’). The contract period is 20 months, it includes the provision of expert witness, as necessary, at any Public Inquiry (PI). Advice will be required throughout the processing of the planning application and will take account of the PI report in providing a final opinion to DfI on the WMP acceptability. The contract includes for the provision of any additional services required to support the WMP review for DfI.
