The client intends to build a support heating plant (total capacity 45 MW). The client supplies citizens, companies and municipal institutions in Unterföhring with district heating from four deep geothermal wells. The support heating plant based on natural gas is to serve as redundancy and for peak loads. This is where VE 422 insulation work is awarded.

Insulation work for pipelines and ducts of various trades in a heating plant currently under construction with a total capacity of 45 MW, in particular:

• Plant engineering pipelines from DN 25 to DN 400, mineral wool with sheet metal jacket

• Cutouts for measuring ports

• Splitable fitting caps for heating fittings up to DN 400 with sheet metal jacket

• Flue gas lines DN 1000 with mineral wool and sheet metal jacket

• Drinking water pipes with closed-cell foam insulation materials, such as Armaflex or similar

• Ventilation ducts with an edge length of up to 3000 mm with closed-cell foam insulation materials

• Silencers with an edge length of approx. 3.20 m closed-cell foam insulation materials

• Ventilation ducts up to DN 400 with aluminium-laminated mineral wool
