The Ringparken is a large general housing estate at Nordre Ringgade in Slagelse, one kilometre from Slagelse Station. In the area there live approximately 2,000 residents. The Ring Park is on the so-called 'hard ghettolist' and therefore needs to implement a development plan which, by means of various means, reduces the proportion of public family housing to a maximum of 40%.
The FOB drew up a vision plan for Ringparken in 2016, New Ringby 2025, showing a clear path for how the area can be developed from exposed to socially balanced area. The Vision Plan has formed the basis for the statutory development plan, which was approved by the ministry in the autumn of 2020.
On the basis of the development plan, a comprehensive plan and infrastructure plan has been drawn up, which aims:
• to change the Ringparken into a safe and vibrant residential area
• to implement the statutory development plan;
• ensuring that the Ringparken is no longer an exposed residential area
• to future-proof department housing
• to address the structural and infrastructure challenges of construction (using separate financing)
