The objective of the tender is to take out insurance with one (1) supplier for the legal entity academic hospital Maastricht, also trading under the name Maasricht UMC+, as of 1 May 2024.

The insurance must cover medical professional liability, general liability, employer's liability and liability for products, the environment and legionella, hereinafter referred to as: medical liability.

The intended duration of the agreement is three (3) years with the option to be invoked by UMC for an extension of two (2) times three (3) years. The motivation for a total contract duration of more than four years is as follows: The contracting authority wants continuity of insurance coverage as well as the optimisation of internal processes and cooperation with the liability insurer.
