The Agency for Nature and Forest (ANB) manages significant areas of grasslands, heaths, forests and parks for the Flemish Government. Every year, mowing management is applied to some of these grasslands. On heathland areas the vegetation is scaled up or rejuvenated, whereby the aboveground part of the vegetation is collected. Sometimes the litter layer is removed in the form of pests. In forests, open spaces and paths are mowed and released from planting. Parks receive horticultural maintenance. These management works on grasslands ensure the release of natural clippings; the other management works, whether or not of a mixed nature, generate mixed green waste; that must be disposed of and processed. For this purpose, the ANB is looking for processing companies to collect and process this cuttings and this green waste.
