Forensic Science Northern Ireland (FSNI) is seeking to establish a contract for the supply, installation and maintenance of a new Glass Refractive Index Determination System to streamline the current glass analysis service we provide. FSNI will purchase 2 new, Glass Refractive Index Determination Systems following award of this contract, which is expected to be no later than 31.3.2019. The instrument will be used to analyse extracts for a wide range of glass encountered in forensic casework. It will be used to carry out qualitative and quantitative analysis.
