The Zweckverband Personenennahverkehr Saarland, as the authority responsible for local public transport, awards the responsibility

Authority within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No. 1370/2007 in accordance with Art. 5 Para. 1 Regulation (EC) No. 1370/2007 i. V. m. Section 8a (1) PBefG on December 13, 2020 a service contract within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No. 1370/2007 with a term from December 13, 2020 to December 31, 2025 in a competitive process. The transport service is awarded in the competition in accordance with the provisions of the GWB and the procurement regulation (VgV).

Bus services (CPV code 60112000) in the following counties are included in the service contract:

Saarbrücken Regional Association (NUTS code DEC01) and Saarlouis district (NUTS code DEC04.

The RegioBus line R13 connects the Bisttal with the center center Völklingen (Bisten - Überherrn - Friedrichweiler - Differten - Werbeln - Schaffhausen - Hostenbach - Völklingen / Saarbücken). At the train station in Völklingen there is a transfer connection to the Saar rail. In addition, express buses connect the Bisttal directly to the state capital Saarbrücken via the Autobahn 620.

The traffic volume is approx. 158,900 timetable kilometers per standard year (250 working days, 52 Saturdays, 63 Sundays / public holidays).
