Description:
Project management profile school Ascheberg

The object of the contract is project management services for the measure “Extension and renovation of the campus of the Ascheberg profile school” described in more detail in Section II.2.4). All project stages and areas of action should be described in accordance with the “project management performance profile”, as described in chapter 2 § 2 of the book “Project Management Services in the Construction and Real Estate Industry” prepared by the AHO commission “Project Control/Project Management” (AHO publication series no. 9; 5th edition March 2020) , whereby a phased assignment is envisaged.

The profile school (former junior high school with currently a total of around 300 students) forms the school center with the canteen and sports hall as well as the sports facilities. It was built between 1963 and 1971, expanded several times and used by a secondary school for a long time. With the end of secondary school on 31.7.2016, the new type of school (profile school) is using the former buildings. In order to concentrate the profile school location in Ascheberg, the former secondary school in Herben is being abandoned (currently with a total of around 200 students). To achieve this, the existing buildings need to be expanded, converted and renovated, as well as a new building built and new school and break areas built. For this purpose, a concept was developed for the structural extension of the school buildings by at least approximately 1,750 square meters of usable educational space and the resulting adaptation work in the existing buildings as required, through an upstream process for assigning property planning for buildings and interiors.

The missing area consists of classrooms, specialist classes, full day and administration. The project also includes the redesign of the open spaces.

In addition to building planning, the client has already commissioned outdoor facility planning as well as TGA and structural engineering. Property planning is currently in service phase 2, specialist planning is still in service phase 1 (inventory).

Since the contractor is embarking on an already ongoing project at the time of his assignment, certain partial services must only be provided in project stages 1 and 2 for processes that are still current at the time of his assignment as well as for corresponding processes in the future; this applies, for example, to participate in the updating of project goals and the Risk management, implementing the communication structure and decision and change management, analyzing, evaluating and controlling the performance of planning participants, and controlling cost and schedule management to meet cost and schedule targets. Certain partial services of project stage 1 are also omitted entirely (especially in connection with the assignment of planning services).

Nevertheless, the object of the contract is the project management services for the described project from project stage 1 onwards. The assignment is based on the project management performance profile, as described in Chapter 2 § 2 of the book “Project Management Services in the Construction- und Immobilienwirtschaft” (AHO publication series no. 9; 5th edition March 2020). The order covers all areas of action of the aforementioned performance picture. The project stages are to be commissioned in stages (see section II.2.9) of this announcement), whereby there is no legal right to further commission project stages.
