The framework agreement covers the detection, registration and chemical spraying of vegetation in Banedanmark's main tracks and the through train tracks through stations. As part of the service, the supplier must supply spray trains incl. crew. Banedanmark supplies traction and chemicals as a client delivery. In addition, the supplier is responsible for the overall execution and documentation of the task.

The framework agreement can be used by Banedanmark.

The framework agreement covers the detection, registration and chemical spraying of vegetation in Banedanmark's main tracks and the through train tracks through stations. As part of the service, the supplier must supply spray trains incl. crew. Banedanmark supplies traction and chemicals as a client delivery. In addition, the supplier is responsible for the overall execution and documentation of the task.

Estimated quantity for the duration of the framework agreement: 15,100 km.

The estimated quantity is based on the contracting entity's historical consumption pattern, adjusted for expectations for changes in consumption during the contract period.

Maximum quantity during the term of the framework agreement: 19,100 km.

The maximum quantity has been calculated as the contracting entity's estimated quantity + 26,5 % in order to take account of the uncertainty inherent in the fact that the contracting entity's future needs depend on the extent of vegetation from year to year.

Special risk factors are the following:

- Uncertainty about the impact of the newly developed stair step model on the need for spraying in the coming seasons, as the stair step model is new compared to the last contract period.

- Uncertainty as to whether Banedanmark will/will be required to phase out the use of glyphosate during the agreement period. If necessary, it is expected that it may lead to the need for more runs according to the stair step model, as there is expected to be a lower efficiency in the use of alternative chemicals should these be used as a complete replacement for glyphosate.

Banedanmark commits to a minimum deduction on the Framework Agreement. Banedanmark thus guarantees the Supplier that each spraying campaign ordered under this Framework Agreement contains sections that ensure the Supplier a settlement for a total journey of at least 500 km. in a campaign, see more details in Appendix 3 – Offer and settlement basis (TAG).
