Earthworks and steelworks on the stretch from Frøslev to Terkelsbøl

The contracting entity thus has the pleasure of tendering for earth and steel works in connection with the construction of approximately 18,300 metres of pipe pits.

Bionatural gas production from, among others, The Netherlands. Biogas plants in the Sønderborg area have reached a size in produced bio natural gas, which, especially during the summer months, cannot be sold in local distribution networks or absorbed into the associated steel system. This has led to the Contracting Entity's decision to transport the excess bio natural gas via steel pipeline 432 to Frøslev, where a new branch option is established. From here, a steel pipeline will be built to be installed in the existing valve group arrangement on Energinet's area in Terkelsbøl.

The construction of the new steel line means that the steel lines 432 will be physically connected to steel lines 429 in the future.

The new steel pipeline must be ready for operation no later than 1 June 2023.

Scope of work

- The construction work includes the execution of approx. 18,300 meters of pipe pit (incl. controlled underborings) in primarily field area, but also larger forest and plantation areas as well as wetlands (§3) will be affected by the construction work

- Welding of also approx. 18,300 meters Ø168.3 mm steel pipe including welding of Scraper arrangements and valve group for line valve (approx. halfway on the line) as well as welding work in connection to existing steel lines in Terkelsbøl.
