1. The subject of the contract is the execution of active protection treatments consisting in the removal of trees and shrubs along with biomass export / mowing in Natura 2000 areas
2. The subject of the contract shall include a service consisting in:
a) cutting down trees and shrubs on a total area of 78.83 ha from patches of natural habitats, i.e.: 7110 High peat bogs with peat-forming vegetation (alive), 7140 Transitional peat bogs and bogs (mostly with vegetation from Scheuchzerio-Caricetea) and 7230 Mountain and lowland alkaline peat bogs of the nature of moths, sedges and mosses, 7210 Nakred peat bogs with removal of biomass in the Natura 2000 area Ostoja Knyszyńska,
b) mowing and partial clearing of meadows on the area of 4.74 ha, located within the boundaries of the Natura 2000 Puszcza Białowieska site.
3. The subject of the contract covers the implementation of conservation activities resulting from the plans of conservation tasks for Natura 2000 sites: Ostoja Knyszyńska PLH200006, Puszcza Białowieska PLC200004.
Task No. 1 – Knyszyńska Refuge – Dojlidy Forest DistrictThe protective treatment is to consist of felling expansive trees and shrubs and removing the resulting biomass from the treatment surface.
The total area intended for the treatment is 10.51 ha.
The works will be carried out in wetlands, peat bogs, i.e. 7110 High peat bogs with peat-forming vegetation (alive), 7140 transitional peat bogs and bogs.
Ownership of the areas on which the works are planned to be carried out are located on the land of the State Treasury in the management of PGL Lasy Państwowe Nadleśnictwo Dojlidy.
Scope of the work envisaged for execution:
• habitat 7110 – removal of birch undergrowth and undergrowth growing within the boundaries of the habitat, removal of biomass beyond the lobe of the natural habitat,
• habitat 7140 – removal of undergrowth and undergrowth of spruce and birch growing within the boundaries of the habitat, removal of biomass beyond the lobe of natural habitat.
Task No. 2 – Ostoja Knyszyńska – Waliły Forest DistrictThe protective treatment is to consist of felling expansive trees and shrubs and removing the resulting biomass from the treatment surface.
The total area intended for the treatment is 20.52 ha.
The works will be carried out in wetlands, peat bogs, i.e. 7110 High peat bogs with peat-forming vegetation (alive), 7140 transitional peat bogs and bogs, including the Wiejki Nature Reserve (area 2.98 ha).
Ownership of the areas on which the works are planned to be carried out are located on the land of the State Treasury in the management of PGL Lasy Państwowe Nadleśnictwo Waliły.
Scope of the work envisaged for execution:
• habitat 7110 – removal of birch undergrowth and undergrowth growing within the boundaries of the habitat, removal of biomass beyond the lobe of the natural habitat,
• habitat 7140 – removal of undergrowth and undergrowth of spruce and birch growing within the boundaries of the habitat, removal of biomass beyond the lobe of natural habitat.
Task No. 3 – Ostoja Knyszyńska – Forest District KnyszynThe protective treatment is to consist of felling expansive trees and shrubs and removing the resulting biomass from the treatment surface.
The total area intended for the treatment is 11.88 ha.
The works will be carried out in wetlands, peat bogs, i.e. 7110 High peat bogs with peat-forming vegetation (alive).
Ownership of the areas on which the works are planned to be carried out are located on the land of the State Treasury in the management of PGL Lasy Państwowe Nadleśnictwo Knyszyn.
Scope of the work envisaged for execution:
• habitat 7110 – removal of birch undergrowth and undergrowth growing within the boundaries of the habitat, removal of biomass beyond the lobe of the natural habitat.
Task No. 4 – Ostoja Knyszyńska – Czarna Białostocka Forest DistrictThe protective treatment is to consist of felling expansive trees and shrubs and removing the resulting biomass from the treatment surface.
The total area intended for the treatment is 8.10 ha.
Work will be carried out on wetlands, bogs, i.e. 7140 transitional bogs and scrapers.
Ownership of the areas on which the works are planned to be carried out are located on the land of the State Treasury in the management of PGL Lasy Państwowe Nadleśnictwo Czarna Białostocka.
Scope of the work envisaged for execution:
• habitat 7140 – removal of undergrowth and undergrowth of spruce and birch growing within the boundaries of the habitat, removal of biomass beyond the lobe of natural habitat.
Task No. 5 – Ostoja Knyszyńska – Żednia Forest DistrictThe protective treatment is to consist of felling expansive trees and shrubs and removing the resulting biomass from the treatment surface.
The total area to be treated is 8.28 ha.
The works will be carried out in wetlands, peat bogs, i.e. 7110 High peat bogs with peat-forming vegetation (alive), 7140 transitional peat bogs and bogs, including the Gorbacz Nature Reserve.
Ownership of the areas on which the works are planned to be carried out are located on the land of the State Treasury in the management of PGL Lasy Państwowe Nadleśnictwo Żednia.
Scope of the work envisaged for execution:
• habitat 7110 – removal of birch undergrowth and undergrowth growing within the boundaries of the habitat, removal of biomass beyond the lobe of the natural habitat,
• habitat 7140 – removal of undergrowth and undergrowth of spruce and birch growing within the boundaries of the habitat, removal of biomass beyond the lobe of natural habitat.
Task No. 6 – Knyszyńska Refuge – Krynki Forest DistrictThe protective treatment is to consist of felling expansive trees and shrubs and removing the resulting biomass from the treatment surface.
The total area to be treated is 9.38 ha.
The works will be carried out in wetlands, peat bogs, i.e. 7140 transitional peat bogs and bogs and 7230 Lowland alkaline peat bogs of the nature of milkweed, sedges and mosses.
Ownership of the areas on which the works are planned to be carried out are located on the land of the State Treasury in the management of PGL Lasy Państwowe Nadleśnictwo Krynki.
Scope of the work envisaged for execution:
• habitat 7140 – removal of undergrowth and undergrowth of spruce and birch growing within the boundaries of the habitat, removal of biomass outside the lobe of natural habitat,
• habitat 7230 – manual successive cutting of shrubs and tree undergrowths and removal of biomass beyond the lobe of natural habitat.
Task No. 7 – Ostoja Knyszyńska – Supraśl Forest DistrictThe protective treatment is to consist of felling expansive trees and shrubs and removing the resulting biomass from the treatment surface.
The total area intended for the treatment is 10.16 ha.
The works will be carried out in wetlands, peat bogs, i.e. 7140 transitional peat bogs and bogs and 7230 Lowland alkaline peat bogs of the nature of mlaks, sedges and mosses, including within the boundaries of the Stare Biele Nature Reserve (area 5.40 ha) and the Woronicza Nature Reserve (area 4.04 ha).
Ownership of the areas on which the works are planned to be carried out are located on the land of the State Treasury in the management of PGL Lasy Państwowe Nadleśnictwo Supraśl.
Scope of the work envisaged for execution:
• habitat 7140 – removal of undergrowth and undergrowth of spruce and birch growing within the boundaries of the habitat, removal of biomass outside the lobe of natural habitat,
• habitat 7230 – manual successive cutting of shrubs and tree undergrowths and removal of biomass beyond the lobe of natural habitat, leaving all the bushes of the Lapland willow.
Task No. 8 – Białowieża ForestThe protective treatment is to consist of a one-time mowing and / or partial (about 40%) removal of trees and shrubs along with the removal of biomass.
The total area to be treated is 4.74 ha.
Ownership of the areas on which the works are planned to be carried out are located on the land of the National Center for Agricultural Support, Field Branch in Białystok.
