The HUS Joint Municipal Authority invites tenders for orthopaedic endoprostheses and tissue scrubbers, as well as revision products. This is a joint procurement of several contracting entities, which is carried out
as a procurement ring. The products requested in this invitation to tender will be used by: HUS Group (HUS), South Karelia wellbeing services county, Kymenlaakso wellbeing services county and Päijät-Häme wellbeing services county.
The aim of competitive tendering is to obtain safe products that support the operations of each procurement tyre unit, to ensure security of supply and good cooperation with contract suppliers throughout the procurement period.
The procurement is divided into 13 main product groups:

2. Hip collarless cemented stem with cement-free and cemented cup
3. Hip collared cement-free artificial joint with cement-free cup
4. Hip cement-free artificial joint, proximal filling with cement-free cup
5. Hip cement-free artificial joint, tapered with cement-free cup
6. Hip cement semi-prosthesis, collared arm
7. Hip cement semi-prosthesis, collarless arm
8. Distal load-bearing femur prosthesis of the hip, one-piece,
9. Hip distal bearing femur prosthesis, modular
10. Knee semi-prosthesis
11. Total knee prosthesis
12. Knee rotating connected artificial joint
13. Orthopaedic tissue washer, and

The object of the procurement and the requirements concerning it are described in detail in the invitation to tender and its annexes. The contract period is three (3) years and includes a possible two (1+1) additional option years.
The total value of the procurement (VAT 0%) is approximately EUR 8 million. € / year. For HUS Corporation, the value of the procurement contract is estimated to be approximately EUR 6 million. € / 12 months and its annual goal is to install 4400 artificial joints and perform an additional 500 replacement/repair surgeries. These procedures are divided into an estimated 45% hip surgeries and 55% knee surgeries. The estimated annual value of the wellbeing services county of South Karelia is approximately 750,000 € / 12 months, with the aim of more than 700 measures, the wellbeing services county of Kymenlaakso approximately 600,000 € / 12 months with the aim of more than 1,000 artificial joints, and the wellbeing services county of Päijät-Häme with a target of approximately 550,000 € / 12 months of more than 1,000 procedures. More detailed information on the number of procedures per product group is described in Section II.2. This is an estimate, and the contracting entity does not commit to the declared euro amounts or the actual consumption amounts stated in the invitation to tender. The final order quantities may be higher or lower than stated.

The Tenderer has the possibility to offer value-added services related to endoprostheses and tissue psyches as an option, which each contracting entity of the procurement ring in this invitation to tender may order in accordance with its separate decision during the contract period. Value-added services may be ordered in accordance with the provider's value-added service plan from contract suppliers, provided that the provider has submitted a value-added service plan in connection with its offer.

The wellbeing services county of South Karelia does not take these measures.
