Among the functions that the Autonomous Community of Galicia has passed through Royal Decree 2166/1994, of November 4, and assumed by Decree 394/1994, of December 29, include, among others, the payment of associated expenses to the removal and transfer of corpses whose autopsy is mandatory. The adaptation to the needs of the law requires organizing funeral services fulfilling 3 conditions:
- Permanent attention to the requests for assistance required by forensic doctors on duty, courthouses, prosecutors and judicial police units,
- Immediate presence of funeral services where required by the judicial body or service,
- Collection of the corpse, including the shroud and the collection ark, and transfer to the corresponding autopsy room.
