The purpose of this contract is to contract technical assistance works for the "DRAFTING OF THE PROJECT FOR THE EXPANSION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE SEAWATER DESALINATION FACILITY (IDAM) OF ALMERIA FOR HUMAN SUPPLY OF ALMERIA AND THE LOWER ANDARAX". The scope of the works will be the definition, at the level of the construction project, of the works necessary for the execution of the expansion and improvement of the IDAM of Almeria so that it acts as a source of supply to the population of Almeria and the municipalities integrated in the Bajo Andarax, as well as the definition of the necessary intake and pumping of seawater.

The purpose of this contract is to contract technical assistance works for the "DRAFTING OF THE PROJECT FOR THE EXPANSION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE SEAWATER DESALINATION FACILITY (IDAM) OF ALMERIA FOR HUMAN SUPPLY OF ALMERIA AND THE LOWER ANDARAX".

The scope of the works will be the definition, at the level of the construction project, of the works necessary for the execution of the expansion and improvement of the IDAM of Almeria so that it acts as a source of supply to the population of Almeria and the municipalities integrated in the Bajo Andarax, as well as the definition of the necessary intake and pumping of seawater. The project will include all those elements necessary for the expansion of the desalination plant and required to achieve the quality of product water required by current legislation, as well as the associated works that guarantee the adequate distribution of flows to the desalination plant's storage tank after the increase in production.

In addition, the treatment of effluents from the plant after the expansion will be detailed and an installation of a self-consumption plant and surplus discharge to the grid will be designed through the installation of photovoltaic panels or other means of renewable energy on the available surface of the desalination plant. A study will also be carried out to improve the energy efficiency of the existing racks, as well as a review of the control, supervision and management system of the plant after its expansion.
