The subject of this call for tenders is the maintenance and optimization of the LMBV salt load control software as well as expert and engineering services in connection with the scientific support of the mining follow-up measures in the area of responsibility of LMBV mbH, potash ore area.
The scope of services includes maintenance and programming work on the LMBV salt load control program “Esel GUI” including reporting as well as consulting services and engineering and scientific support of the mining follow-up measures (concerning water management tasks), which are in the area of responsibility of LMBV mbH, potash ore. The basis for this is mining operating plan approvals, water licensing procedures and planning documents. The main task is salt load control in the southern Harz Mountains.

Tasks for maintaining the salt burden tax system:
- periodic monitoring and evaluation of logging data,
- troubleshooting unforeseen tax settings,
- Supporting the client in adjusting the control parameters to optimize repulsion in the event of changing hydrological boundary conditions,
- scenario calculations to check the influence of changes in the measurement system (by integrating new measuring points, new measurement technology and additional monitoring and alarming parameters) and, if necessary, adapting the software components to take these changes into account,
- writing official statements if the monitoring value is exceeded due to system malfunctions,
- Preparation for adapting the reporting system (calculation tool) including test run, evaluation of comparative calculations, old and new calculation tool
- Supporting the client with the introduction of the new calculation tool (training, etc.)
- Optimization and expansion work on the tax software and the calculation tool for accounting
- Consideration/integration of current security standards (e.g. through update function)

In addition to maintenance and optimization work on the salt burden tax software, the contractor must offer consulting services, including:
- Participation in and reporting on salt load management in the course of consultations of the working group “Salzlast Südharz”, including preparation and follow-up work, preparation of presentations, handouts, statements, coordination with the responsible authorities (twice a year)
- Participation in and reporting in the course of LMBV project consultations (6 times a year)
- Cooperation and exchange of information with the project controller used by the TMÜN (Thuringian Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation)
- Cooperation with LMBV service providers (monitoring receiving waters, IT system)
- Tracking and target control of further LMBV measures to reduce water pollution caused by mining sequels
- Consultancy and expert work in flood protection
- Flood event evaluations
- Elaboration of recommendations for action
- Optimization and adaptation of LMBV reporting for salt load management
- Participation in planning processes (professional evaluation)
- Framework report evaluation including the drafting of opinions on proposed measures by third parties
- Research on treatment options for tailings waste water (state of the art)
