The City of Espoo, Omnia, the City of Kauniainen and the wellbeing services county of Western Uusimaa (each later separately also the Subscriber) request a tender for application interpretation services. The procurement will be implemented as a procurement ring, in which the City of Espoo is a responsible operator.

The target of the procurement to be put out to tender is application interpretation services, which involves the use of a mobile application as an integral part. An application refers to a mobile application for booking and performing interpretations that can be downloaded from the app store to a smartphone. For the avoidance of doubt, a booking system running on a website or a downloadable launcher icon is not considered a mobile application.

The service to be procured includes the booking, performance of interpretations and the collection and administration of billing and reporting information.

The contract concluded on the basis of this competitive tendering process is complemented by additional interpretation services in accordance with the procurement of "Procurement of Interpretation Services 3971/2020".

Based on the tender, one (1) service provider and one (1) deputy supplier will be selected.

The contract is valid until further notice.

Omnia, the Joint Authority for Education in the Espoo Region, the City of Kauniainen and the wellbeing services county of Western Uusimaa conclude their own agreements with the selected service provider with the same content.

The estimated value of the procurement for the City of Espoo is EUR 900,000, for the wellbeing services county of Western Uusimaa EUR 10,000,000, for the City of Kauniainen EUR 100,000 and for the Espoo Region Education And Training Consortium Omnia EUR 60,000.

The subscriber does not commit to certain quantities of procurement during the contract period.

The interpretation formats booked through the app are remote interpreting and in-person interpreting. Interpretation can be booked through the app to start immediately or at a later time. Remote interpreting is performed through the app or in another way, such as in Teams or by phone, either by voice or video interpretation.

If the Parties so separately agree, interpretation services may also be booked in other ways (for example, the booking page online). However, invoicing and reporting must always be carried out in the same way as for interpretations booked in the application.
