SAMA ESTW Altenburg with reconstruction of Altenburg station, construction supervision of electrical engineering

A total of approx. 14.5 km of new overhead line systems will be built in the ESTW Altenburg project. For this purpose, a construction supervisor railway electrical engineering will be used.

The content is the section 6362 between km 33.400 (Treben-Lehma (a)) and km 39.630 (Altenburg (e)).

The section of the ESTW Altenburg Treben-Lehma (a) - Altenburg (e) is part of the overall ABS Karlsruhe - Stuttgart - Nuremberg - Leipzig/ Dresden; Subproject 2 Leipzig-Hof. Part of the ABS is the project section (2nd expansion stage) Gaschwitz – Crimmitschau with the section Böhlen (a) – Crimmitschau (a), which includes the ESTW-A Neukieritzsch, Regis-Breitingen, Altenburg and Gößnitz.

The existing facility was built around 1961 at Altenburg station, mainly in cross-field construction and on the open line Treben-Lehma - Altenburg with single masts made of steel. The main tracks were covered with the overhead line type Re2, the passing and shunting tracks with Re1. Altenburg station is equipped with a bypass line on the eastern masts. The masts at Altenburg station are welded steel angle masts, mainly in transverse structure construction on concrete foundations according to the DR-M drawing work valid at the time.

The single-mast construction method was used on the open line Treben-Lehma – Altenburg and in Altenburg station at isolated bases. In 2014, the southern separation of the station was renewed as part of the new construction of the line section fr. Str. Altenburg – Paditz in the overhead line type Re200. On the open route Treben-Lehma – Altenburg from km 34.450 to 34.600, a new construction of the overhead line system in concrete pylon construction was carried out as part of the new construction of the SÜ Gerstenberg (km 34.476).

In Altenburg station there is a pedestrian overpass at approx. km 38.703 and on the free route Treben-Lehma - Altenburg there is a road overpass with a chainwork lowering at approx. km 34.476.

The technical parameters of the existing catenary system are:

• Control system height (SH) 2.0 m to 2.15 m (QF), 1.4 to 1.8 (boom)
