Design kit and mask generation work for the CAD software TexEDA

Design kit and mask generation work for the CAD software TexEDA

The design software TexEDA for layout work is supported by the IHP especially for technologies that are in development. This is to ensure that design benchmark and research projects can access this technology at an early stage.

Furthermore, special modules of the TexEDA software are used to generate masks and to process the mask data for subsequent processes.

Due to development results and requirements from ongoing research projects, the design kits have to be constantly changed and adapted.

Due to changing processes due to new technologies (photonics, e-beam writing), new special software for mask generation has to be written or the existing modules have to be adapted.

In order to efficiently solve these complex tasks, the IHP has to outsource some of the tasks to an external company. The work is advertised for 4 years. The scope of the work can be adjusted by the IHP in the following years as required by + -10%.

Specifically, the following tasks are to be carried out.

- Creation of layout test structures and pycells in TexEDA;

- Development of DRC and LVS support of new components in TexEDA;

- Creation of interfaces from TexEDA to other programs from third-party software manufacturers;

- Creation of new program modules for mask generation;

- Adjustment work on existing software;

- Creation of documentation (English) The following services should be provided;

- Work on the IHP Design Kit and programs for generating masks approx. 50 hours per month for a period of 4 years;

- At least 4 working days per month at the IHP in Frankfurt (Oder).

The specific work and the specific time required are agreed monthly and billed in writing.

Experience with the tools used and in design kit work must be proven.

If a signed NDA is available, access to an IHP design kit can be granted during the tendering phase.
