The German Pension Insurance Baden-Württemberg is planning a comprehensive energy-efficient renovation of the existing extension of its headquarters in Karlsruhe, which is located at the back of the main building on Gartenstraße.

The existing building was erected in 1977 in solid construction and is an extension of the headquarters of the German Pension Insurance (high-rise building) at the Karlsruhe site. The extension has a floor area of approx. 73 m x 55 m and has 4 full storeys (1.UG - 2nd floor). Furthermore, there is a 3rd floor as a staggered floor and another technical level in the 2.UG.

The building has a total gross floor area of approx. 18,370 m² and a total BRI of approx. 72,240 m³.
