Sample collection and medical analyses (blood and urine) as part of employment related annual preventive medical visits.

The object of the contract is the conclusion of a framework contract for the provision of services for a period of one year, with three possible extensions of one year each.

As part of the medical monitoring of GSC staff, medical services regularly requests sample collection and medical analyses (blood and urine).

In practice, the GSC staff member arrives within the scheduled time slot and hands over a medical prescription issued by a GSC medical officer. This document will later be used by the laboratory for periodic invoicing of sample collections and analyses carried out.

Any sample collection and analyse that is not included in the Standardised Programme (see the exhaustive list of analyses in point VI.1.a) of the specifications, p. 4-5) or not expressly requested by the GSC medical officers as an optional analyse (point VI.1.b), p. 5-7), must be invoiced directly to the patient by the laboratory.

All samples and analyses expressly requested by the GSC medical officers with the remarks ‘please send the invoice to the person's private address’, or prescribed by a non-GSC doctor, must be invoiced directly to the patient by the laboratory.


Sample collection and medical analyses (blood and urine) as part of pre-employment medical visits

The object of the contract is the conclusion of a framework contract for the provision of services for a period of one year, with three possible extensions of one year each.

The services to be provided are for sample collection and medical analyses (blood and urine) as part of the obligatory medical monitoring of future officials and servants of the GSC within the European Union.

Other routine medical analyses (blood and urine) that are not listed in the specifications, which could be requested by the medical service, may be the subject of an addendum to the contract upon request for a quote by the GSC, and a price proposal sent by the laboratory.


Molecular detection tests (PCR) in the context of COVID-19

The object of the contract is the conclusion of a framework contract for the provision of services for a period of one year, with three possible extensions of one year each.

COVID-19 PCR molecular samples, in compliance with the protocols established by the Belgian national authorities (to be consulted on www.info-coronavirus.be and www.sciensano.be), or relevant foreign authorities.

In the context of the COVID-19 epidemiological situation, the medical service regularly requests sample collection and analyses using molecular detection tests (PCR) from GSC staff members and of the European Council, and from the staff of external firms and any visitors to Council buildings called upon to take part in official meetings/missions, or whenever the GSC medical service decides to do so.

The service provider must have the capacity to carry out up to 500 tests per day.

The supply of required equipment as well as transportation facilities are at the service provider’s expense.

The costs related to the provision of nurse(s) are at the service provider’s expense.

The travel costs of the person designated to carry out PCR tests are at the service provider’s expense.
